Team Leadership

Being a member of an effective team is a rush.  It’s highly motivating and liberating.  Success just seems to follow the team around.  On the other hand, if you’ve ever been on a team lacking purpose, structure, feedback and trust, each day seems more painful then the last.  You would do just about anything to get away from this group of people.  Continuous improvement is totally dependent on people’s ability to share good news and bad news, knowledge and expertise. It’s dependent on people’s willingness to give both energy and time.  And not just with their small work teams; this need to share stretches across the entire value chain and beyond.   As a result, supervisors, managers and leaders at all levels must possess the knowledge and skills to bring people together rather than apart; to join, not become disjointed; to collaborate, not separate; to think in terms of Us instead of Me; in terms of We instead of I. To accomplish this important but challenging feat, supervisors must learn how teams work, what causes them to function well together, and how to facilitate desired outcomes.

Whether you lead a team with full authority i.e. direct manager/supervisor, dotted line project team or are tasked with influencing a variety of groups with little to no authority; these two-days will be incredibly beneficial.  Leaders interested in knowing the key principles trained facilitators never waiver from.  People interested in taking a hands-on approach to learning facilitation.  Anyone who has struggled to gain the full commitment of a group of individuals, and knowing full well that each person was needed for real success.
